Spotlight on Support - Long Term Care Ombudsman
When a loved one lives in a nursing home or rest home, it’s natural to have questions or concerns about their care, comfort, and rights. That’s where Access Care Partners’ Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program comes in.
Our trained Ombudsman volunteers serve as advocates and a voice for residents living in long-term care facilities—ensuring their rights are respected and their concerns are heard.
What the Ombudsman Program Offers:
🤝 Advocacy for residents of nursing homes and rest homes
📞 Confidential support to help resolve concerns about care, safety, food, staff treatment, roommate issues, and more
🧾 Information about resident rights, care standards, and facility responsibilities
🏡 Regular visits to facilities to meet with residents and staff
All services are free and confidential, and residents (or their loved ones) can contact the program at any time.
“Our role is to listen, advocate, and empower residents. Everyone deserves to feel safe, heard, and respected in the place they call home,” says our Ombudsman Program Director.
