Feeder Frenzy!

We're hearing from more and more customers that their bird feeders have been busier than usual lately. This is probably the result of a few different factors: nesting season 2019 was a successful one, and this is the time of year when we'd expect to see lots of young birds visiting feeders both with and (increasingly) without their parents. In addition, we are in the very early days of fall migration and some birds will be feeding heavily to prepare for upcoming journeys. You also may catch a glimpse of early migration arrivals at your feeders. Finally, we suspect that the loss of trees, vegetation, and habitat sustained not only during Hurricane Florence but also in association with our growing region is creating an increased reliance on feeders as a food source.

Bottom line: keep an eye on your feeders, as they may need refills more frequently than you'd normally expect for this time of year.

And if you want to feed the birds in your yard the best seed in town, stop in and see us. Whether you're looking for single seed varieties, special blends, squirrel-deterrent, or shell-free options, we'll help you find the right option for your particular visitors and situation. And no matter which variety you choose,  our seed is fresh and free of preservatives and fillers. It really does make a big difference!
