Parking in the lower lot is reserved for handicap only. Parking is available in the upper lot, in the New Street garage at 324 S. New Street, at the Fourth and Wyandotte lot Sundays until 1PM, and on street along Fourth Street and in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street. |

The AED (automated external defibrillator) Machine can be found in the Sayre Hall Foyer (outside the restrooms/coat closet). This is a central location for those using the Cathedral, Sayre Hall, and other classrooms. |

We call your attention to THREE concerts coming up very soon for our Nativity Cathedral community and beyond. All concerts are open to the public, with free admission, and all donations offered to help defray ongoing expenses will be gratefully accepted at the door. |

May 22 at 3 pm Canon Stephen Williams will play an organ concert at St. John’s Lutheran Church in
downtown Allentown (32 S. 5 th Street, just off Hamilton St., right next to the Post Office). This concert will celebrate The Arts at St. John’s series which Stephen began there in the early 90s and is thriving quite beautifully. The program will include some ‘war-horses’ for the organ, some pieces composed by some of St. John’s exemplary former musicians, and a few new tunes as well. The organ, which Stephen co-designed in 1991, is splendid, housed in a stunningly beautiful space, and via critical acclaim, has become one of the true treasures of the Lehigh Valley. It’s definitely worth a listen, or two! Please come and enjoy an afternoon of great music-making! May 27 at 7 pm Organists Reid Simmons and Joseph O’Brien, both delightful young men and already accomplished musicians, will be here at the Cathedral to offer a varied and intriguing program! Reid and Joseph are underclassmen at West Chester University, are good friends, and are incredibly inspired by what they do. They are excited to share their music, and we are honored to host them. Please come and support these gentlemen in their great work and honorable pursuits and ambitions! |

June 12 at 3 pm Mezzo-soprano Lauren Curnow and pianist Vinny Trovato will offer a concert in the Cathedral that will certainly be a highlight for our Cathedral Arts Series! Lauren holds advanced vocal arts degrees from The Juilliard School and The Curtis Institute of Music, is on the voice faculty at Muhlenberg College, and is a currently a Doctoral candidate in vocal performance at The Mason Gross School of Music, Rutgers University. Oh, and she’s been our lovely alto Choral Scholar here at Nativity Cathedral for the past four years! She has already performed this program to splendid acclaim last month at Rutgers. It includes music of Francis Poulenc, Jules Massenet, Johannes Brahms, contemporary composer Rebecca Clarke, and others. Do come and support Lauren and Vinny in their outstanding work, and plan to enjoy another great afternoon of music! |

Do you have questions about your faith? EfM is a 4-year course of study providing the framework to connect faith to our daily lives through reading and discussion. An EfM group meets at Nativity Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30 PM September through May. |

Food Drive for Fountain Hill Elementary Our friends at FHES are looking to stock up their current food pantry, as it is currently low on stock. Bring rice, canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.), easy lunches (peanut butter, jelly, ramen, mac and cheese) and canned fruits and veggies and place in the boxes at the back of the Nave of the Cathedral. Praying our Light to Shine! Praying our way to hope with Anglican Prayer Beads. An offering from our Ministry of Healing and Wholeness.
In the 1980’s a group of Episcopalians set out in group contemplative prayer using beads. The experience is similar to the Roman tradition of praying the rosary but unique in that there is a more meditative focus. This type of prayer will deepen and transform your devotions into a richer spiritual experience. Yet more transformative is to do so in community with Cathedral companions and our friends! Order hoagies through May 25 Nativity high school students are selling Italian, Turkey, Roast Beef, Tuna, and Pastrami hoagies for $5.50 each and Ham & Cheese, and Turkey & Cheese for $4.00 each. All orders will be available for pick up from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 4 in the upper parking lot of the Cathedral. All proceeds from the hoagie sale will benefit a non-profit organization in Navajoland, where Nativity youth will travel this summer as their Mission Trip. Questions? Scholarship Application The Cathedral Church of the Nativity is blessed to be able to award three $1,000 scholarships to active Nativity members who are high school seniors planning to further their studies or current college/trade school students. Nativity Annual Parish Picnic & Bi-lingual Worship Service 11AM, Sunday, June 5 at Dimmick Park, 570 Durham St., Hellertown. Horray! We will gather in-person for worship, to celebrate our high school graduates, and to enjoy good food and fellowship. All welcome! Grilled hamburgers, vegetable burgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Please bring your favorite side dish, salad or dessert to share.
