In Honor of National Poetry Month
 Poetry Reading with Poet J. R. Solonche
Saturday, April 29th, 2023 @ 1 pm

In honor of National Poetry Month, we are thrilled to have renowned poet, Joel R. Solonche, reading from his works!

Mr. Solonche has published 30 volumes of poetry and his poems have been featured in more than 500 journals & anthologies.
His poems have also been featured on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac program and on other radio programs.

He has twice been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and was most recently nominated for the 2022 National Book Award.

He is a Professor Emeritus of English at SUNY Orange. Join us for what is sure to be an enlightening event! Refreshments will be served. Space is limited. Please register online.

TEEN & YOUNG ADULT
POETRY SLAM WORKSHOP
Wednesdays 4 - 5 pm, April 19th & 26th (in-person)
(ages 14-22)

In celebration of Poetry Month, join us in a 2 session Slam Poetry workshop. In the first session we will talk about Slam Poetry and how it is performed. You will write and perform your created piece in the 2nd meeting. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is required.

Classical Guitar Concert
Saturday, April 15th @ 3 pm

Classical guitarist Eric J. Roth will perform music from the late 18th century though the early 20th century including composers Sor, Paganini, Mertz, Shand, Barrios and others.

Crochet Nested Baskets
with Elaine Chan
Fridays @ 11 am (in-person)
April 21st, 28th, May 5th, 12th, 19th & June 1st

Join local crocheter Elaine Chan and learn how to make nested baskets to keep your home organized and stylish!

Registrants must bring the following supplies:
- 10mm hook (N hook)
- Approximately 130 yards T-shirt yarn (not black)

The instructor will provide the pattern on the day of the program. Registrants should attend all six sessions to receive full instruction.
