Almost as divisive as Impeachment in Washington, Natural Wines; some say are the darling of the wine biz and some refuse to even say the word with out gagging. The category is certainly polarizing. Natural wine means different things to many, yet to us at Wolfe's Wine Shoppe it rather simple. Nothing added and nothing taken away. Low intervention in the vineyard that may be farmed organically or biodynamically coupled with indigenous fermentation's, sometimes no filtration or fining and for us the most important part of natural wines is the minimal use of sulfur. This week Miami became a stop on the global RAW WINE tour, where wine growers, National importers, distributors and industry professionals come together to taste 100's of Natural wines from those carrying the flag for the category. Stop by Friday and cut through the noise and make your own opinion you may just surprise your self.
