Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Chrysalis House celebrated the official Ribbon Cutting of the Merrill Family Therapeutic Nature & Walking Trail, a meaningful new space dedicated to healing, reflection, wellness, and connection for the women and children we serve. It was a beautiful day filled with gratitude as sponsors, community partners, staff, donors, and friends gathered to celebrate the completion of this special project. To honor client confidentiality, our clients and their children also enjoyed a private ribbon cutting celebration featuring a visit from the Kona Ice Truck, creating a joyful and memorable experience for the women and children in our program.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this vision a reality, including Senator Dawn Gile for presenting a proclamation, Delegate Heather Bagnall, and Delegate Stuart Schmidt for their support. We are also deeply grateful to our generous event sponsors Charm City Run and Drum Loyka & Associates LLC, and partners Arundel Rivers Federation and Chesapeake Bay Trust, Homestead Gardens, The Merrill Family, The Allen Family, The Akoya Pearls Social Club, The Rotary Club of Annapolis, Angie & Ed Ponatoski, Elizabeth Rossman, The Williamson Family, The Zide family, and more.
Special thanks to local artist Jimmy Howard for creating the beautiful glass butterfly sculptures that now symbolize transformation and hope on the trail. This project is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support healing and recovery.
