Referendum Question H 

Learn about Kennebunk’s Town Warrant question on June 11th, and how it impacts access to Kennebunk Land Trust’s newest preserve, Tributary Preserve.

Referendum Question H asks if voters want to approve Drala Drive as public road.

KLT believes by supporting acceptance of Drala Drive, you help preserve access to the natural beauty that enriches our community, and assure public outdoor recreation opportunities in our town.

• Tributary Preserve is a 50-acre property behind Alfred Road. KLT is building a 2.5-mile trail system.

• Drala Drive is the only road access to the Preserve, where a parking lot has been built to welcome hikers.

• Drala Drive remains private, and no public access is allowed on the road. This means no access to Tributary Preserve or the parking area.

• The Kennebunk road ordinance will allow public road acceptance if the road has a public benefit. We believe access to Tributary Preserve is a public benefit!

Kennebunk High School students volunteered with Kennebunk Land Trust these past two weeks doing amazing and varied projects!

Pictured above is a new trail built at Oxbow Preserve, and other students identified invasive plant locations, worked on the 30 x 30 Initiative for Kennebunk, created photography projects, and did historical and ecological research. We look forward to sharing their important work with you !
