The public road referendum passed!

Tributary Preserve!

We are quicky beginning trail work again to open the preserve as soon as possible!

Crews are out today at Tributary re-establishing trails and building bridges.

Thank you to BerryDunn and the United Way Day of Caring project for connecting businesses with volunteer opportunities.

FIND PLEIN AIR PAINTERS IN

KLT PRESERVES!

June 21, 22, and 23: Head out and find artists to watch them create plein air pieces!

Some examples of participating artists:

Bev McCarthy

Bev will be painting Friday June 21st at the  Kennebunk Plains Wildlife Management Area From 10:00 a.m. on, and at Madelyn Marx Preserve Saturday June 21st from 10:00 a.m. on.

Wade Zaharas

Wade will be painting at Alewive Preserve on the 21st and 22nd 10 -12PM.

 Mary will be painting at Madelyn Marx Preserve on June 21st from 3-6pm.

Linda will be painting at Madelyn Marx Preserve on Sunday, the 21st from approximately 1 o'clock onwards.

Garden Summer Soiree!

This is sure to be a fantastic event and a night to remember!

The Soiree is also a culmination of the Nature's Canvas: Unveiled plein air art auction.

The online auction is open July 22 - 25th and Soiree attendees get the chance to meet the artists and view their work up close.

Elementary Art at Alewive!

What a beautiful project from the Kennebunk Elementary art program!

This spring, students painted four posts representing each season. These posts were fitted with a birdhouse on top, and thoughtfully installed at Alewive Woods Preserve for all to enjoy!



We hope you will take the time to walk the trails and admire their work. We are so glad the next generation is learning about appreciating nature and thankful for the teachers and schools that make it happen!

Kennebunk High School students volunteered with Kennebunk Land Trust these past two weeks doing amazing and varied projects!

Pictured above is a new trail built at Oxbow Preserve, and other students identified invasive plant locations, worked on the 30 x 30 Initiative for Kennebunk, created photography projects, and did historical and ecological research. We look forward to sharing their important work with you !
