Wilton Land Conservation Trust: Putting Back What Nature Intended

Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence Exhibition/Reception: Hannah Sklar
Monday, February 24 @6pm
February brings Weir Farm's Artist-in-Residence Hannah Sklar to Wilton Library. By combining representational forms and imagery associated with gender, Sklar acts to implement her personal vision of an undefined spectrum of beauty and corporal strength using materials such as clay, paint, graphite and discarded sport objects to create tense assemblages. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library.  More info & register
Senior Center Book Discussion: American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House

Carol Kaelin leads a discussion of American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House. Award-winning writer Jon Meacham's definitive biography of the seventh American president won the Pulitzer Prize in 2009. This group meets at Comstock Community Center, 180 School Road in Wilton. Entry drop-off at the library: Saturday, February 29 from 10:30am - 4:30pm & Sunday, March 1 from 1:30 - 4:30pm 
Wilton Arts Council is seeking photography entries for its Focus '20 Photo Exhibit taking place at the library from March 7 - 27. Prizes are awarded in three divisions -  adults, high school students, and youths (through eighth grade) - and for Best in Show. The reception and awards presentation is March 13. The New York Times star food writer Melissa Clark breaks down the new French classics with 150 recipes that reflect a modern yet distinctly French sensibility in Dinner in French. Melissa Clark is the author of Dinner, Dinner in an Instant, and Comfort in an Instant and is a staff writer for The New York Times Food section, where she writes the wildly popular food column, "A Good Appetite."  A Q&A will follow the talk. Ten Practical Strategies to Help Your Children Improve Their Executive Function Skills
