"Deep in the forest I stroll to hear the wisdom of my soul."

I love inspiring quotes which I feel you'll enjoy.

Extended times in the natural world always opens me up to new perspectives; helps me align with our heart's rhythm and gives me wonderful insights and inspiration.

It’s like taking a creative sabbatical for my soul. Sometimes this has taken me to foreign lands, sometimes just to another place close by; and sometimes even a day excursion can be treated as a creative sabbatical. And…I feel creative sabbaticals are inspiring whether you are an artist or wish to live your life more creatively.

I know in our busy lives, we may feel that we don’t have time to take for ourselves, even for a day or a couple of hours. Yet, what if you found that by taking a couple of hours a week, and having your heart decide where to go, you found that your life flows in a more joyful way? How would you feel if you took some time for yourself, enjoying something just because? Don’t you owe it to yourself to gift yourself this time?

Sometimes when I go into nature, I may have a question I wish to ponder and other times I go into nature with no agenda. Such was the experience a couple of summers ago. Most days Mandalay and I hiked with my husband and there were a couple of days each week, Mandalay and I hiked and meandered on our own for almost four hours at a pop. I was simply in my element within the trees, mountains and the beautiful abundance of lakes. Fully present, with no agenda, I noticed feelings started to bubble up and catch my attention. It’s like all the aspects of what I loved which had been hidden for a couple of years started to make their feelings known to me. I became inspired to begin to explore paths through the forest and see where they might take me. The idea of asking the question - is there a path to get me to a destination in the forest also made me realize this as a metaphor in life, and I started to understand there is more than one path to a destination. Just like life - we often think there is one path to our dream or goal, yet what if we opened our minds to the possibility that there are many ways to bring our dreams into reality and who knows, maybe along the way we’ll find new dreams to fulfill.

This is one of the many wonderful gifts I receive while experiencing nature for expanded times. My heart and spirit become one with the natural world and the Divine, and I receive insights whether requested or not that serve my life in beautiful and inspirational ways. I wish for you this beautiful experience.
