15th Annual Duck Race: September 6th
Our team is excited to move forward with new and innovative ways to support our community and knows that our participating Non-Profits need the support now more than ever!
How will you get involved in the Naugatuck Chamber's Signature Event?
FUNDRAISE
Non-Profits, school organizations and charitable organizations raised over $20,000 for their causes last year by selling Duck Day raffle tickets. Our team is developing a system for non-profits to raise money through online ticket sales for a contactless way to make money for their organization!
DONATE A PRIZE
Our Non-Profits are able to raise money for their organizations thanks to the generosity of our prize donors! If your business is looking to give back to the Naugatuck community, consider donating a great prize to motivate those ticket buyers.
News & Updates
Sibby's Automotive Offering 20% Off
Thank you to all of the First Responders and Emergency Personnel on the front lines fighting the virus. In support of our customers, community and fellow businesses, Sibby's Automotive would like to offer 20% off any vehicle repair. We are currently open for business and our staff has adopted all sanitation and safety practices outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our tow trucks are still on the road for any towing needs. We are now offering pickup and delivery of vehicles needing repairs. As a small business, we understand the impact COVID 19 closures are having on other businesses, individuals and families. With many local business fleets unable to travel and employees working from home, now is a good time to schedule repairs.

Stokes Counseling Offering Online Appointments
Naugatuck's own Stokes Counseling Services is now offering online counseling.   Stokes Counseling Services LLC is a private counseling practice located in Naugatuck, CT made up of licensed therapists who specialize in children and families. In addition to our work with children and families, we provide individual, family, and couples counseling to adults. We understand finding the right fit for a therapist is important and acknowledge you must feel safe and comfortable before making those difficult steps in getting better. We do our best to provide a comfortable setting to help guide you to feeling better within the first few sessions. For more information, visit https://stokescounseling.com/online-counseling/

Hiring & Training Programs Available
Do you need help finding qualified workers for your business? Could you use some financial assistance to offset the cost of hiring and training new workers, or training your existing workforce?

The Waterbury Regional Chamber is working with the Northwest Regional Workforce Investments Board to help businesses in Greater Waterbury learn more about the available hiring and training programs and whether they qualify for them. This includes providing information on posting jobs on the states CThires.com website, as well as information about Manufacturing Innovation Fund Incumbent Worker Training, the apprenticeship program, hiring veterans and on-the-job training programs.

For more information, contact Dave Krechevsky, the Chamber's director of public policy and economic development, at dkrechevsky@waterburychamber.com
PLUS: Need a Job Now?

NeedAJobNow.usNLx.com  contains over 400,000 job openings and continues to grow daily. While many employers are downsizing their staff, others are significantly increasing their hiring efforts due to current demands. Through this initiative, DirectEmployers and National Association of State Workforce Agencies offers a way to bridge the gap between job supply and demand by offering an easy way for job seekers to gain access to current open positions and for employers to fill positions quickly and efficiently during these difficult times.
