Navigating the Fall Term

Beth Paxson
This has been an extraordinary summer, full of change and new growth! We are embracing the challenge of functioning within defined parameters, maintaining flexibility in body and mind, and increasing receptivity toward the potential for countless new ideas to take hold.

Fall Term is just around the corner, and we will again be offering our full roster of online weekly classes and recordings as we did in the Spring. We are excited to bring two new Level I teachers on board, Christina Bernunzio and Denise Jones. They have been interning all summer and will each teach one more community class before the summer term ends.

Our line up of Continuing Education Classes for Teachers returns this Fall on the virtual platform. Details coming soon. Check out our our new video store, which is geared toward helping intermediate students expand and build your practice while we continue to learn virtually.

Namaste,
Beth Paxson

Fall Term

Studio set up

It's time to either confirm your class or register for fall term! Please contact the office to confirm your intentions.

This fall term is a week longer than usual, at 12 weeks, and we've found through offering the spring and summer online classes that the cost of operating remotely is surprisingly high, but well worth the ability to continue to practice together. So, we have instituted a small price increase of just under $2 per class over last fall's rates. As we did in Spring Term, in lieu of our traditional makeup policy, we will send you a recording within a day or two of the class for you to practice at your convenience.

New this Fall!
We found that many students enjoyed the benefits and flexibility of practicing with the recorded classes. Students enrolled in at least one Fall Term class may choose an additional class to receive recordings for just $100 per term. Contact the office prior to the start of the term, and we will send you the recordings each week.

If you wish to purchase single class recordings or a partial set of recordings, we can still send you those for $10 per class at your request. Of course, if you prefer to practice with us live, as always, we are happy to sign you up for a second (or third!) class for the usual 10% off your total.

Teacher Training

Rachel Lundberg
We are excited to announce the 2021 dates for the 200-hour and 300-hour Alignment-Based Yoga Teacher Trainings. Both trainings will begin in January 2021 with virtual options available if our current gathering limitations continue. Any in-person gathering will be at Paxson Yoga Center, if applicable.

Super early bird registration discounts are available through September 15th, 2020. All trainings are led by Rachel Lundberg, E-RYT 500, ABYS L2. You can view all of the program details and registration info at www.lundbergyoga.com or contact Rachel directly at rachel@lundbergyoga.com.

Private Yoga Lessons

Hope adjusting a student
Did you know that we offer private yoga lessons? Beth and Hope can offer one-on-one or small group sessions in the studio (with precautions, of course) or online.

Now that we've been practicing remotely for some time, you may have found that bad habits have cropped up while no one has consistent eyes on your practice.

Get a refresher on specific alignment questions or help with a troubling pose or movement that is difficult for you.

Contact the office to schedule.

New Video Store Online

Julie teaching

We received a lot of encouragement from students near and far, and we are excited to offer recordings of live classes taught by Julie Gudmestad and other workshops. Imagine taking class  in your own home, where you can practice at your own pace, review cues and sequences, and even repeat a favorite class at a time that fits your schedule.

Originally conceived to accommodate students in other US time zones, and even overseas, the classes will be bundled and sold according to level. We will be happy to help you select the level that is just right for you, so that you will feel challenged, but safe. We hope to help you learn new poses, deepen your practice and relax fully, all in a supportive environment and at an appropriate level. Please email the office for help choosing the right class level for you.

Closing

As the the summer air becomes still and warm outside, mirror that stillness inside your body and mind. Remember how cooling a restorative practice can be. Your mat is a place of stillness and peace. Take advantage of those moments!

Namaste,
