My ‘2023 Challenge’ of having patient members gain 3 pounds of muscles over the course of the year has been going well. Many of you are coming in and getting your body composition test performed and showing a good outcome. Please schedule a time to come in and get your test done and remember if you need help or support, I am here for you.
My foremost wish for all my patients this holiday season is that they not only enjoy this special time of year but that they do so in the healthiest way possible. The holidays bring with them a sense of celebration, joy, and unity, and I want each of you to experience these precious moments to the fullest. But it's equally important that we approach this season with a focus on well-being and self-care.
Here's 3 Tips for the Holidays:
Prioritize Self-Care: Whether it's a walk in the crisp winter air, a quiet moment of reflection, or a few minutes of meditation, self-care is essential to stay balanced and centered during the holiday season. It’s a good time to start a daily nighttime 10-minute practice of stream-of-consciousness writing. Write as fast as you can, don’t pause for an instant, don’t worry about spelling errors, typos, punctuation, or what word to use, because no one else is going to read but you. This is a great mindfulness exercise to help you ease stress.
Consider Healthful Gifts: When giving and receiving gifts, think about items that promote wellness. Perhaps a fitness tracker, a supplement regimen, or even a 30 minute Deep Muscle Stimulation massage treatment. You can call the office at (310) 444-9393 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Annie.
Plan for Rest: Adequate rest is the foundation of good health. Ensure that you're getting enough sleep to rejuvenate your body and mind during this busy time of year.
Remember, the holiday season is not only about the festivities; it's a time for reflection, gratitude, and growth. Embrace the joy and love that surround you, and use it as motivation to embark on a journey to become the healthiest and happiest version of yourself. I'm here to support you every step of the way, providing guidance, advice, and the tools you need to achieve your health and wellness goals.
