I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that our partners at the USACE Vicksburg District are going to be in Central Louisiana later this month for a face to face meeting with our navigation industry partners and invite you all to join. The MVK staff will be conducting a mile by mile review of the Red River with industry. This will also provide a good opportunity for any questions you may have.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, beginning at 10:00 am in the Board Room at the Red River Waterway Commission office in Natchitoches. The address is below:

Should the MVK staff have any additional information to distribute I'll be sure to get that out to everyone in advance of the meeting.

We're in the process of transitioning to a new online membership and event management system and this will be the first event for which we're using the new registration system. So please let me know if you have any issues with it so I can be sure to look into it and take action to correct it.
