S-193 Lock on Lake Okeechobee North Shore Reopened to Boat Traffic
Lock had been closed since Monday to assist with flood control operations

West Palm Beach, FL - The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) today reopened the S-193 navigation lock at Taylor Creek to boat traffic entering and leaving Lake Okeechobee.
The lock had been closed to navigation since Monday following several inches of rainfall north of the lake over a few hours. SFWMD used the lock to assist the S-133 pump station with flood control operations.
