Welcome Crew – Volunteers Needed
Beginning June 6, we will have two worship services in the sanctuary each Sunday. We are excited to begin using the new Welcome Center in the Gathering Area. Our Welcome Crew is looking for several teams of volunteers to share our hospitality each week. Whether you are a returning volunteer or you are looking to serve Faith United in a new way, please contact Laura Luikart (330.933.1392) or Judy McLaughlin (330.309.0980). There will be two training opportunities in June.

Thank you to the congregation for the very generous response to the Easter offering - even in these pandemic times. We received $9,348.

The tradition at Faith Church is to give every dollar received to missions. Because of your faithfulness we were able to meet our commitment to the five missionaries we support around the world. We had planned to send support to our missionary in Paraguay, Sue Givens, also, but we received notice that Sue passed away on Easter Sunday. So to honor Sue we sent a donation in her memory to Project for the People of Paraguay, a non-profit foundation Sue helped establish. It helps families in the area around the school.

Other recipients of funds included Canton Calvary Mission, The Urban Action Team of the Tuscarawas District, UMCOR, Faith Kitchen and the Faith Church campership fund.

The generosity of the people of Faith Church will touch the lives of many in our community, our nation and the world. Thank you for your part in spreading God's love to the world.

Faith & Environment Prayer:

O Lord who thought up kangaroos and cacti,
and threw the stars like snowballs into space,
who dashed the Milky Way across the heavens
like a child in love with finger paint,
lift our busy eyes from all distractions
that we might see the beauty you have made.
Help us to awaken and awaken...
O God of Twilight, Lord of Day to Night, Spinner of the Earth, O Sunset Painter,
our hearts lift praises for the many blues you spread above us as the evening falls,
pinks and reds projected on the clouds and orange fire spilt across the mountains.
Our souls sing out in thanks for all your colors!...

Suggested donation is $5 per family and caterpillars should be available for pick up at the church by May 26.

If anyone has large pretzel or animal cracker containers, we can use empty, clean containers for the butterflies. Contact Kathy Schmucker for more information and to participate in the butterfly project!
