Nearly 100 Attend Holiday Brunch to Honor Director's Circle Members, Cinema Friend Members, and Major Donors
On Sunday, December 15, nearly 100 Cinema supporters, including Board Members, major donors, business and civic leaders, members of our Circle of Friends, and members of our Youth Advisory Board gathered to celebrate the season and each other.

The room was set with beautiful flowers, provided by Amy's of Huntington . The Red Door Chamber Players , sponsored by CAC Board Member Jude Schanzer, performed wonderfully as our guests arrived and throughout the abundant brunch, contributed by many of our Cinema Star Restaurants . Bottles and Cases sponsored our wine and champagne bar. The generosity of many people and many local businesses helped create a wonderful experience for our supporters.

State Senator James Gaughran gave opening remarks. Suffolk County Legislator William Spencer also addressed our guests. Each spoke about the importance of supporting our independent community cinema, and the good work we do together in our community.

CAC Co-Directors Charlotte Sky and Dylan Skolnick also addressed our guests, sharing news of current projects and upcoming events, and personally expressing their thanks to all.

This was our 10th annual Holiday Brunch, and it has become a warm and meaningful tradition. Thanks again to everyone who helped make the occasion so special.
We Have 11 Days to Earn Our Matching Grant
Each year, we raise vital program and operating funds through the Vic Skolnick Life of Our Cinema Campaign. If the Cinema had to operate on ticket revenue alone, we would have to charge $17 a ticket. An important part of our mission is to make the best in cinematic artistry accessible in our income-diverse community, and to keep our basic membership prices as low as possible. Our annual fund is critical to this endeavor, and helps to ensure our ability to deliver our mission on Long Island. This year's campaign goal is $150,000. If we raise another $5,000 before December 31, we will earn the full value of our matching grant and make our goal. We have about 10,000 members. About 1,000 members have contributed so far. If you are one of that 10%, thank you so much. Whether you were able to contribute $5 or $5,000, your gift is powerful. If you have not yet given, please consider us as you complete your year-end giving. When we are supported by many individual donors, it protects our mission and our values, and powers everything that we do. Thank you.

When you order a gift card of any amount, it will be emailed to you directly as a PDF, which you can print, or display on your phone. The electronic gift card can be forwarded to anyone as a gift. Gift cards can be used in our box office, Sky Room Cafe, and on our website. Gift cards can be used for event tickets, memberships, and food and refreshments.
