Nebraska MultiSport Complex (the Complex) begins 2017 with a bang! If you've driven by our La Vista location on Giles between 126th and 108th streets, you've seen construction equipment and lots of activity in spite of the weather. We are grading the site in preparation for spring construction and are on track to open October 2018.
As a reminder, the Complex includes an enclosed athletic center featuring the Werner Natatorium with four indoor and two outdoor bodies of water, a Tennis Center with six indoor and six outdoor courts, a Sports Medicine and Sports Performance Center and a Fieldhouse. Outdoors there will be 12 full size regulation Playing Fields with field turf and lights. Your input during the user group meetings in 2014 and 2015 along with your on-going feedback were instrumental in defining the scope of the project and establishing the community need. Thanks again for your active participation.
In addition to the construction activity, the Complex is preparing agreements with various providers and accepting inquiries from user groups. This includes high schools, colleges, and youth, adult and senior teams, clubs and leagues in swimming, diving, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and tennis. Those interested in high use of lane, court or field times per year qualify for volume discounts and multi-year agreements.
