Since the recent launch of Marina Coast Water District's SAFE program (Supporting Affected Federal Employees), many furloughed federal employees have signed up for the program.
SAFE offers temporary financial assistance and flexible account support to federal employees affected by the government shutdown with a guarantee of no service shutoffs and no late fees.
The District recognizes the challenges that individuals and families are facing, and we are committed to ensuring that no federal employee customer goes without essential water service.
SAFE provides the following support for qualifying customers:
✅ Flexible, temporary arrangements to spread payments over time
✅ No service shutoffs for affected customers during shutdown
✅ No late fees or penalties imposed while program is in effect
