THE RIDE GUIDE

Inspiration, Education, and Encouragement to Explore More in Morgan Hill

With continuous improvements and enhancements to urban trails and bike lanes, the City of Morgan Hill is a perfect destination for bike lovers of all experience levels. Here are a few ideas that may spur some inspiration for your next ride.

Itinerary 1 - Coyote Creek Trail

Quick Highlights

  • Car-free multi-use trail
  • Restrooms, water, and picnic tables available at the trailhead

This paved trail follows the Coyote Creek past a model aircraft skypark, and over a couple of small pedestrian bridges, making this a fun family-friendly adventure with lots to see along the way. Be sure to also make a stop at the Coyote Creek Visitor Center at Anderson Lake near the trailhead to refill your water bottles, use the picnic area, or learn about the local wildlife.

Insider tips

Plan to enjoy this route earlier in the morning hours, before the wind picks up. This area of the Coyote Valley is infamous for major headwinds when you’re heading north! Our suggestion – pick up a box of donuts to eat at a picnic bench after (or before!) your ride to make this adventure much sweeter.
