Early Release Friday, July 1st

Chancellor Sharp has authorized early release at noon on Friday, July 1 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Chancellor Sharp would like everyone to enjoy the weekend’s July 4th celebrations.

Here’s what this means for those of you working Summer Hours vs Traditional Hours:

Summer Hours: If you are working summer hours and have worked your 36 hours through Thursday, you do not need to report to work on Friday, July 1.
Traditional Hours: If you are working traditional hours you will leave at noon on Friday, July 1.

The university will be closed Monday, July 4th!
Moving to a new address here on campus??? Making some changes to your work area?? Building out a new lab space or changing a classroom?

All changes to spaces must be approved – this includes office moves, building/removing cubicle spaces, changing a classroom to a lab or a storage room to an office.  This is so we accurately track the use and assignment of all spaces – the Coordinating Board requires an annual certification of space utilization. This factors into the decision to grant funding for new buildings and programs!

If you have a change in mind, use the University Space Request template is available in Docusign or can be found linked at in the University Procedure 41.01.01.H1.01 General Space Request

Any questions about this – give Jill a call at 903-334-6755.
