Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Office of Information Technology will be adding a second layer of security to authenticate VPN, Office 365 applications, and your data.  This is mandated by the State of Texas and Texas A&M University Systems.  Password + Verification = Access! Microsoft Authenticator App turns any iOS or Android phone into a strong, safe, and two-step verification method for your online credentials from a range of authentication options to access your Microsoft applications, Banner from Off-Campus, and VPN.  credential.  Look for the next email and Need to Know Announcement for more information about roll out plans and next steps for your Authenticator App setup!  Office of Information Technology will have all Banner and VPN users utilizing this authentication method by June 15, 2023.  If you would like to be added today, please call the service desk at (903) 334-6603 or create a self-service ticket asking to be added to Microsoft MFA.

Debra Grider is from Atlanta, Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management from TAMUT at the "old facility." While attending, she served as a member of the Chancellor's Student Advisory Council. Debra also attended TAMUT from 2017-2023. Debra has earned two master's degrees. She completed her first MBA in Business Management in 2021 and the second one was earned in Supply Chain Management in May 2023. Debra has spent the last 17 years in the ministry, the past 15 being at Atlanta Methodist Church where she served as the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant to the children's and youth ministry, as well as the music department and the Day School.  Debra lives in Atlanta with her husband, Michael of 27 years. Together they have two daughters, Madison and Morgan. Madison is married with three children. Morg an graduated from Atlanta High School this past May and will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall.  Debra is extremely thrilled to be joining the A&M-Texarkana community!

After graduating with her bachelor's in History, Elmore taught AP US History,, Civics, Economics, and Social Studies at Horatio High School for 3 years. In 2015, she began teaching Financial Literacy, Child Development, Food Safety, and Family and Consumer Science. In 2021, Ashley began teaching these same subjects for Nashville High School.   Elmore's goal as Coordinator for Student Success & Retention is to make all TAMU-T assistance options known and readily available to the students in order to help them succeed in their college career.
Melanie Nelson is a native of Texarkana, TX. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.  Melanie has dedicated the past 18 years working in education teaching 8th grade in the Texarkana Independent School District. She also served as Student Council Co-Sponsor, REACH teacher for the school mentor program, and Team Leader for her grade level.  Melanie has served as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc for the past 16 years. She has one 12-year-old son that is actively involved in pretty much every sport, so that keeps her nights and weekends pretty busy. Becoming the PATH and CROWNed Jewels Program Manager will be a welcomed change, and Melanie looks forward to partnering with individuals in the various campus departments to grow and continue to develop the program. She is committed to helping the students receive all the necessary skills be successful in academic life, campus life, and beyond.
