We want to give you a brief update on the status of negotiations/impasse.

All "paperwork" has been submitted to the Maryland Public Employee Relations Board (PERB). PERB has "certified" that an impasse exists.

Our Lead Negotiator (Bradley Darjean) and the AACPS Director of Employee Relations (Melisa Rawles) have been in touch with the designated mediator. A joint meeting has been scheduled with the mediator for August 14. At this meeting, preliminary logistics, dates, and procedures will be discussed with the mediator.

We will update you after this meeting with the exact date that the impasse mediation session will occur.

We are preparing for a “mass” email campaign. We would like to start this within the next two weeks. We will be sending to your work and personal email addresses.
