NMS pianist, Sebastian Hernandez, took part in an online Master Class with
Ory Shihor
, hosted by the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts on Friday, April 17th. He did an incredible job working with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, and made us all proud! Master classes are wonderful ways to gain insight, experience and expertise from professionals who have deep experience in the field. Great work, Sebastian!
Like NMS, many organizations are creating online content to share and connect as we are all in this strange place of virtual(rather than social) engagement. The following are some resources, partners and sites that I have found to have some great classes, webinars, streaming options and more. Please let us know which organizations you have been following, as well!
- If you have found yourself out of work, please check out the Los Angeles Jobs portal. This has been designed to help those who have lost, or limited access to work during COVID-19 to find employers who are hiring right now.
- Our friends at LAMusArt have been sharing free online classes in artmaking, theatre and more!
- LA Opera has been live-streaming past performances, LA Opera Happy Hour and more!
- LACO at Home offers options to stream content from past Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Concerts
- KUSC Classical Radio has a wide array of interactive and streaming music and videos, including At Home with Gustavo
Be well, be healthy, be happy, and continue to make beautiful music,
