Beginning in 2017, The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce expanded their boundaries and is the new sole service provider for SSA #17. Our most immediate goals include safety and security and improved maintenance and beautification. This new expanded area includes: Sheffield from Diversey to Irving Park, Clark Street from Belmont to Byron and Belmont from Clark to Racine. A second satellite office will be opening in the next few weeks on Belmont & Sheffield in order to better serve the community. We welcome Christina Roberts as the newest member of our team. We have restructured our office staff to best address the programs and events within our expanded area. |

BELMONT SHEFFIELD MUSIC FESTIVAL
Celebrating its 33rd year in 2017, Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest will kick off Chicago's outdoor street fest season when it again welcomes the start of summer and the warm weather on May 27 & 28 on N. Sheffield Ave. from Belmont to Roscoe.
Located just steps from the bustling Belmont Red Line "El" stop, this wildly popular street fest in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood will again showcase the region's favorite tribute bands. This iconic fest (sponsored by the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce) also features plenty of food and libations as well as artisans who will roll out their newest creative handiwork.

The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce and Northalsted Business Alliance hosted another successful Soup Walk on Sunday with over 300 participants! Restaurants passed out samples of their most popular soups to participants in 12 retail shops along the route. Check out some of the pictures

SIDEWALK CAFE APPLICATIONS
Now is the time to turn in those Sidewalk Cafe Applications for the 2017 year! Sidewalk café season begins on March 1st, and ends on December 1st. Sidewalk Café Permits have a 9 month term, and must be applied for, and issued, every year. The sooner the better in order to assure you can set up your cafe at the beginning of the season.

The Michael Plageman Agency of American Family Insurance recently joined the Lakeview East chamber. Michael Plageman lives in Lakeview East and his agency is opening an additional office in Lakeview East mid-2017. Their current office will remain open too in Park Ridge, IL. Besides being an insurance agent and small business owner, Michael is also a community advocate. His passion is helping the community protect and restore dreams through insurance. The agency offers products for home, condo, apartment, automotive, life, and business.

After 25 years in business, Equinox will regretfully be closing their doors. The owners would like to thank the community for their support over the years and will miss doing business in the Lakeview East community.
