The car carriers are arriving and residents are returning from summer holidays.  It is exciting to see old friends and meet some new people too as the pace of activity picks up.  Start booking dinner reservations and tee times!

We never write about what we have not experienced so thank you readers for encouraging us to try new places and things. Laura took her grandsons go-karting on a real track.  They were super impressed and it was AMAZING fun.  Read all about it and then try it yourselves!

Palm Beach Karting 

Palm Beach Karting offers a variety of rental kart options, depending on your age and skill level.  Each session consists of a 10-minute race, and utilizes the state-of-the-art Clubspeed timing and scoring system.  They supply all the equipment including helmets, neck braces, and race jackets / suits.  They only ask that you wear close-toed shoes and no loose clothing or scarves. Arrive and drive sessions alternate with their Open Practice sessions when private owners are at the facility.

If you've never visited the facility before, you'll be asked to set up a driver profile in their Clubspeed system.  This will keep track of all of your race information including any points credited to your account.  If you're been there before, simply sign in at one of the kiosks.  Once you have completed this, you can head over to our cashier to pay for your race sessions for your visit.  Any minor under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18, and will have to complete and sign the electronic minor waiver agreement.

They will then take you and your group to our briefing area where their head track staff will go over the layout of the track, how to enter and exit the track, and the safety procedures and flags used. You'll be fitted with a helmet and neck brace before heading down to the starting grid where they will show you how to enter the kart and then you'll be ready to race!
