SNAPCHAT USERS! You'll be tickled to know a snapchat filter will be available within the June 10-11 Italian Festival parameters this weekend in Little Italy! And for those of you who are not familiar with Snapchat, it's a social media app with various geo-filters provided as creative overlays as you 'snap' photos. The filters capture your location or event in your photo as users snap 'n chat!

saint leo's refurbishes war memorial wall
After the Memorial Day weekend 9:30 a.m. Mass, Father Bernie Carman blessed the newly refurbished War Memorial wall outside of Saint Leo's Church. The parish's Saint Gabriel Society financed the project that was constructed by Barry Monument Company, the same company who produced the memorial bricks on the front wall facing Exeter Street.

Apartment tower for Della Notte site wins design panel approval: A 24-floor glass tower proposed for the former Della Notte site in Little Italy took a step forward Thursday, receiving final approval from Baltimore's Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel.  The building, at 801 Eastern Ave., will include about 385 apartments ...
