Neighborhood meeting tonight
Many neighbors are concerned about sudden increases in their property assessments.

First District Jackson County Legislator Scott Burnett and Jackson County Assessor Gail Beatty will be at Tuesday night’s meeting to answer questions about property tax assessments.

No tires, hazardous waste, or chemicals. Nonmembers may dump after 10am for $10 per load, as space allows.

Hyde Park Film Festival continues Fridays in June

The festival continues this Friday, June 21! Live music by youth performer Kate Whitefield, hooping lessons and demonstration by KC Hoop Girl , and the classic throwback movie The Karate Kid (1984), all for FREE in Hyde Park at 36th & Gillham Road. Bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs. Brought to you by the Pilgrim Center , the Pilgrim 5K Run/Walk , our partner Kansas City, MO Parks and Recreation , and all of our volunteers. The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. See you there!
