WELCOME! | August 2022

Okay, let's try to cool things down a little this month with thoughts of space and the cosmos. Regarded as one of the best of the year, the Perseids Meteor Shower peaks August 12-13 and is famous for producing a large number of fireballs producing up to 60 shooting stars an hour at the peak. The shower, discovered in 1862, is produced by the comet 109/P Swift-Tuttle. A nearly full moon will cause viewing problems, but the Perseids are so bright that skywatchers should still get a good show. Also occurring on August 13th is International Left Hander's Day. Southpaws celebrate as you are in some very good company...namely Albert Einstein, Jimi Hendrix, Sandy Koufax, Ronald Regan, Oprah Winfrey, and Leonardo da Vinci, to name a few.

SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED HOMES

Residential Closed Sales totaled 287 homes vs. 402 representing a 28.6% decrease YOY.

Median Price was $405,000 vs. $330,000 representing a 22.7% increase YOY.

Active Inventory totaled 637 vs. 369 representing a 72.6% increase YOY.

CONDOMINIUMS

Residential Closed Sales totaled 79 homes vs. 129 representing a 38.8% decrease YOY.

Median Price was $235,000 vs. $230,000 representing a 2.2% increase YOY.

Active Inventory totaled 175 vs. 136 representing a 28.7% increase YOY.
