WELCOME! | June 2026

Summer in Vero has a way of bringing us together through the simple traditions that make this community feel like home. Mornings spent by the water, neighborhood gatherings to celebrating Father’s Day with family cookouts, this season is filled with moments that turn into lasting memories for everyone. June has plenty more to celebrate like National Doughnut Day, National Best Friends Day, and even National Lobster Day! So don’t forget to add them to your calendar and grab an extra donut. Around town, American flags will begin appearing on porches and along streets ahead of Independence Day as our communities proudly prepare to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, beginning with Flag Day on June 14th we’ll carry that patriotic spirit into summer. Shared traditions, both big and small, give Vero its unmistakable charm. Whether it is gathering with neighbors for festivities, spending evenings outdoors with family, or simply enjoying the coastal lifestyle we all enjoy, summer here feels connected, relaxed, and full of life. In communities like ours that are built around beaches, parks, and family friendly neighborhoods, the season becomes more than just a time of year, it becomes the collection of memories made together. After all, home is where memories are made.

A Summer Day-in-the-Life of a Resort Resident

Embracing relaxed rhythms, sunny adventures, and everyday joys of resort living in paradise.

June is National Homeownership Month and the official start of summer and we’re offering you some pure, hyper-local community lifestyle inspiration, and practical homeowner tips.

Community & Lifestyle

  • SUMMER BUCKET LIST Don’t Miss

Outdoor activities are abundant in Vero Beach with many local favorites like the Environmental Learning Center where you can enjoy a full moon or guided kayak tours and various wellness activities throughout the month. Or, on June 13th, the McKee Gardens Water Lily Festival is another “cool” event where you can meander through shaded paths taking in nature’s bounty of color and watch artists create their plein air interpretations. Dining by the water is always refreshing and some new and old local favorites for grabbing a bite on the deck include Tradewinds 41 or Riverside Café or, you can watch the “fish come in” at the IR Firefighters for Clean Water Fishing Tournament on June 19 & 20 hosted by Sebastian Saltwater Marina Restaurant in Sebastian.

Every Saturday from 8am-12pm, local vendors and growers gather at the Farmers Market on Ocean Drive across from Humiston Park and are a highlight of the area’s vibrant local, healthy lifestyle. With warmer weather comes more salads, lighter fare and less cooking indoors and more grilling outdoors. Refreshing eats IDEA…for a light lunch or appetizer paired with tortilla or plantain chips, make some bright, robust ceviche.

Start by picking up some fresh, local, lean, and firm white fish and shellfish from Seafood Steve, like corvina, sea bass, red snapper, halibut, grouper, raw shrimp or sea scallops as these all absorb citrus marinades beautifully without becoming mushy. Then walk on over to Produce Buddies to get your crisp, juicy citrus and fruits for the marinade. Next, to stave off the mosquitoes and no-see-ums while you’re grilling or dining alfresco, go to the The Bug Juice vendor and get your all-natural repellent without chemicals, DEET, water, or alcohol, so you can enjoy every bite without being bitten.
