Chamber Connection

Thank you to ThedaCare and ThedaCare Medical Center-New London Quasi Endowment Fund for their ongoing commitment to community organizations!

Last week, Leah and Doris, on behalf of Compassionate Connections, Inc., attended the check presentation where they received $8,000.00 toward The Nutrition Mission, weekend backpack program!

These funds will help provide healthy and quality foods to over 300 students each week, in the Clintonville School District!

Our area churches recently received a contribution from ThedaCare in partnership with the American Legion Post 63 to host the upcoming community meals! Communites that work together stay together!

On Tuesday, July 29, the Clintonville Police Department and Culver's of Clintonville partnered with Police Lights Of Christmas and Q90FM Radio.

All money raised on that day will go towards purchasing gift cards for officers to use in helping neighbors in need that they encounter while on patrol this Christmas season! Thank you all!

Exciting News for Waupaca County Small Businesses!

The Waupaca County Economic Development Corp. (WCEDC) has been awarded $250,000 as part of a statewide initiative—one of only ten counties to receive funding from a 1.5 million dollar Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation grant. Thank you to Jeff Mikorski, Executive director of the WCEDC for his hard work in securing these funds that will be available in 2026!

A press conference was held July 29, 2025 at the New London Municipal Building with Missy Hughes, CEO of WEDC announcing the program. Our City Administrator Caz Muske, Interim President of the WCEDC, spoke at the event.

These funds will launch a Building Improvement Grant Program to help small business owners who own or are purchasing buildings in historic downtowns or older commercial corridors throughout Waupaca County.

Eligible businesses may receive up to $50,000 in grant funds for:

  • Safety upgrades
  • Energy efficiency improvements
  • Accessibility updates
  • Structural repairs

To qualify, businesses must be approved for financing through WCEDC’s existing Revolving Loan Fund. Ongoing business and financial assistance will be provided throughout the process.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM/IOLA CAR SHOW

The FWD Seagrave Museum is joining with the Lions Club (and are inviting the Chamber of Commerce and City of Clintonville) to host a "NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM" on Friday, October 31st from 6-10 pm. Although we are in the early planning stages, we hope to have an open house at the museum with a haunted and spooky theme. Candy and spooky tours will be provided.  Future meetings will be forthcoming with those who are participating in organizing what hopes to become an annual event.

In addition, the museum is in the process of acquiring as many as four additional vehicles to the museum's current collection of 83 vehicles on display and an additional 29 currently in storage.

The Museum was able to display four museum owned vehicles at the recent Iola Car Show on July 10th, 11th and 12th, The Battleship (America's first four wheel drive vehicle), the Nancy Hank, (1911 FWD mail car), one of two FWD race cars, and a World War I Model B army truck. The theme for this year's car show was 4x4 vehicles. Volunteers manned the displays throughout the event and interacted with hundreds of visitors, telling them about our museum and the community history.  Watch for more details coming soon!
