Items Needed for Mission Trip

This July 17th-22 youth from the diocese will be traveling to the Murrow Children's Home (a foster home for Native American Children from all over Oklahoma) to work for a week while also exploring some of our Native American History. The Murrow Children's Home has anywhere from 15-50 children at any given time, and due to COVID, the volunteer groups and fundraisers have been put on hold for the past 2 years.

They could really use our assistance. If you or your congregation would like to collect items or donations - we can take them with us. You can also give online through the Bishop's Discretionary fund at episcopalarkansas.org/bishops-fund/ (memo: Children's Home). Contact Randall Curtis at [email protected] with more questions. See our trip at www.eycarkansas.org/2022-summer-service-trip
Kaylee Simpson, 15, is attending this trip in July from our congregation. Items can be placed in the office in a blue container.
Youth and Family Events
Vacation Bible School

Join us for a week of fun as we navigate what it means to be a church for all. We will explore what it means to be a church, how science and religion can go hand in hand, where it's a safe place for children to ask questions, how we can help be the church outside our walls, and how we are a loving and diverse church. Children will get to act out the scripture, learn new songs, play games and create artwork together. Snacks will be provided M-Thursday and then on Friday night join us for a family meal.

Monday - A Church for All
Tuesday - Let's ask questions
Wednesday - Culture and the Bible
Thursday - How to be the church outside the walls.
Friday - Field day/water games, family dinner and art show.

We will gather each day from 4 pm to 6 pm. If parents would like to stay at the church we will have a hospitality room set up in our parlor for parents to relax.

We pray for those who have birthdays this week: Eva Cole and JulieAnne Hilton.

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on
your servants as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow
in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness
all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For those celebrating an anniversary this week: Sherrie and John Cotton.

O gracious and everliving God, look mercifully upon your servants who come to renew the promises they have made to each other. Grant them your blessing, and assist them with your grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love they may honor and keep their promises and vows; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please let the office know if your birthday or anniversary has been missed, so that we may add the date to our records.
