Register for the Neighbourhood Summit!

Come network with residents across Waterloo to discuss all things neighbourhoods.

This is a FREE event taking place on November 7 at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Community Pavilion from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Highlights include:

discussion around sustainability in neighbourhoods
candle making workshop

Apply for the Neighbourhood Fund!

The Neighbourhood Fund supports projects that help neighbours develop connections, foster a sense of belonging and create opportunities for placemaking. Groups of two or more neighbours may apply for up to $7,500 to support their idea.

The application deadline is on October 15 at 2 p.m.

Do you have a kind neighbour who always says hello? Or someone who welcomes new neighbours to the neighbourhood?

Celebrate neighbours who do kind things, big or small, through the Neighbourhood Kindness program.

Foxhunt Neighbourhood Message Board

The Foxhunt Neighbourhood just got their community message board in Bluestream Park!

The board will share details of all the great things happening in the community.

This project was funded through the Neighbourhood Fund - apply today to do something similar in your neighbourhood.

Shamrock Co-op Basketball Refresh

Neighbours on Kingscourt Drive now have a place to play ball!

A basketball court that was no longer useable was refreshed and renewed for neighbours in the area to enjoy!

The neighbourhood raised support for a bench, sign, and other items to help make this a welcoming space.

This project was also done with support from the Neighbourhood Fund.

Ride-A-Bus: Get to know Grand River Transit

This is a free event for older adults wishing to become comfortable with bus services in the Waterloo Region. A bus ride and training session with GRT's travel training experts is included. Please note, a ride on the ION train is not included.

Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Community Room, second floor, WMRC Community Pavilion, 101 Father David Bauer Drive, Waterloo

Thursdays:

Zumba Kids (4 – 8 years old), Hip Hop Youth (8-13 years old) and Kathak (13+ years old) dance classes.

Classes starting at 5 p.m. onwards.

Fridays:

Bollywood kids (4 – 8 years old), Bollywood youth (8 – 13 years old), Bollywood (13+ years old).

Classes starting at 5 p.m. onwards.

Saturdays:

Hip Hop Kids (4 – 8 years old), Zumba Youth (8 – 13 years old), Kathak (13+ years old).

Classes starting at 10 a.m. onwards.

To register for a class please go to ActiveNet or go in person and speak to customer service at AMCC, WMRC or RIM Park.
