2021/2022 School Year Registration
Club Calendar
May 20th
Site closed for Club 105 event.

May 31st
Site closed in observance of Memorial Day.

June 4th
Last day of Club programming for our Nekoosa Site.

July 5th - July 30th
Our Site will be OPEN after the Nekoosa School District's Summer School program from 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm. This program is available to
youth ages 6 - 18 attending Summer School. Call 715.424.2582 to register today.

Program Reminder
Club enrollment takes place twice each year, for the school year and our summer program. Registration is open for the 2021/2022 school year. Please see our at bgcwra.org to register your member(s).

Club Activities
Participating in National Calendars days for the month of April was fun!
April 12th
National Big Wind Day

Members made kites and tested them outside.
April 14th
National Gardening Day

It was a busy afternoon planting seeds
of all varieties.
April 20th
National Upside Down Pineapple Cake Day

Members made a Pineapple Upside Down Cake on the stove top.
It was delicious!

April 21
National Creativity Day

Exploring different projects to show their creative side.
April 22nd
National Earth Day

Club members picked
up litter around the
school grounds. They enjoyed participating
in Earth Day. 

April 23rd
National Picnic Day

It was a beautiful day for members to enjoy a picnic.

Upcoming Programs and Activities:
  • 4th-5th grade take part in the NASA Challenge.
  • 6th-8th grade will participate in STEM, Teacher, and Military Appreciation Week.
  • Members will spend time learning outdoor lawn games and exploring astronomy. They will have fun testing their program knowledge with trivia and Kahoot games.
  • Alexander Middle School new weight room is open. Our Club is offering members an opportunity to use the weight room after school.
Club 105 Event
Club 105 is event where members are recognized for attending Club for 105 days or more. All members who qualify for the event will receive an invitation.

Our Club 105 event will take place on:

May 20, 2021
4pm – 6pm
White Sands Mini Golf
5511 Wazeecha Ave - Wisconsin Rapids
Members will receive a swag bag at the end of the event.

Parents/Guardians will need transport their member(s) to and from White Sands Mini Golf for this event.

The last day for members to qualify for Club 105 is May 14th, 2021. Club will be CLOSED to members who do not qualify for this event.

Community Opportunities
 
Join the Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area and the South Wood County YMCA for a fun-filled scavenger hunt! Mothers and sons will have a great adventure through games, sports, photo booth and plenty of hot dogs, s'mores and juice!

Date: Sunday May 16, 2021
Time: Noon - 2pm
Location: South Wood County YMCA location in Port Edwards and the Port Edwards Village Park. (Note: you may park in the Port Edwards YMCA parking lot.)
Fee: $10/YMCA or Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area Member $15/Non-Member
*$5/Additional Son or Guest
