ISCAR’s NeoSwiss is a modular design, with a large variety of heads available for multiple machining operations including turning, back-turning, threading, grooving, and parting. The industry demanded a new system that focused on two main points: rigidity and repeatability. The design of the new rotary-wedge clamping mechanism makes it easy to change heads in seconds and provides extreme clamping force, resulting in excellent machining stability and unmatched accuracy.

Rigidity and repeatability are unmatched in the industry at ±0.0008” for head replacement due to the new patented rotary-wedge clamping mechanism.

All shanks and heads are produced with ISCAR’s JetCut coolant-thru capabilities and can be used with coolant pressures up to 2,000 PSI. The majority of the NeoSwiss heads come with two different coolant ports to reduce the heat in the cutting zone. The two ports combined force coolant into the cutting zone from above and below, extending tool life and providing better chip control.

In addition to the many X-axis heads offered, ISCAR also has Y-axis heads in different turning and grooving configurations. Both X and Y-axis heads will connect to the same shank.

The shanks, available in 0.500”, 12 mm and 16 mm, have three different coolant access points to ensure compatibility with most Swiss machines.
