YOUR WEEKLY NEWS & UPDATES
ITS NERSHFEST WEEKEND! GO VIKINGS!!!
Inbound's 7th annual Nershfest Music Festival is this Saturday! Its a free event, from 2pm until 10pm in their taproom. Expect a stellar music lineup, food trucks, and lots of great beer (obviously). Nershi Nectar, a small batch hazy-hoppy wheat beer made especially for the fest, will hit our shelves tomorrow - exclusively available right here in our shop!

The Vikings are in town , playing at 7pm this Sunday. If you've already worn a flannel shirt this month (not judging), you should probably also be among the first to pick up some fall beers and some Downeast Pumpkin Cider. Surly Oktoberfest is in stock, as well as Ayinger, Paulaner, Hofbrau and more.

We were blessed with a special drop of whiskies last week - Willett 4yr Rare Release Rye, Noah's Mill, and Rowan's Creek are all chillin' behind the counter waiting for a lucky few. Willett Potsill Reserve (in 750ml and 1.75L) are both back in stock as well.

Its a great chance to sip, learn, and find some new faves.

STAFF PICKS
Doug's Pick

2016 P. S. Garcia, Bravado - $23.99

In the world of wine, countries often become synonymous with certain wines or styles of wine. Australia went through it with Shiraz, Argentina with Malbec, and Chile with Carmenere but did you know there is something very cool afoot in this sliver of a country on the Eastern edge of Patagonia? The MOVI movement is a group of independent vintners who are making some incredibly stunning wines, from sustainably farmed red blends to 100% old vine Carignans. This wine from P. S. Garcia is a blend of Syrah, Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Petit Verdot. It's got grip, elegance, a touch of funk and most importantly, an expression of somewhereness. I'd say pair this with something off the grill!
Madison's Pick

2017 Gilbert Picq Chablis - $36.99

Great Chablis from humble vineyards, making a case that it isn't all about the premier and grand crus. This is clean, pure, classic unoaked Chablis from a small family farm. This is their "basic" Chablis - definitely one of the best village level Chablis in this market. Its a great bottle show up to dinner at a friends house with. I'd also recommend just drinking it by yourself and not sharing with anyone. Its pretty delicious.
Patti's Pick

2017 Domaine de Pallus 'Messanges' Chinon - $21.99

Factoid: 'Messanges' is an old Loire Valley name for Cabernet Franc. Messanges Cuvee is a selection from the younger vines planted on the silica-laced soil of Domain de Pallus in Chinon. Energetic and fresh while being true to a classic style, this wine ticks all the boxes. Bright cherry, tobacco, cedar, and dried herbs find harmony on your palate. Bring this home and pair it with a charcuterie board or if you are feeling ambitious maybe a duck dish or a mushroom duxelle tart. Et Voila, parfait!
Patrick's Pick

2018 Kendall-Jackson 'Avant' Unoaked Chardonnay - $17.99

This chardonnay is sourced from cool coastal vineyards in Monterrey, Santa Barbara, and Mendocino Counties. The attributes of all 3 vineyards and cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks allow the chardonnay grape to speak for itself with crisp apple notes, fresh pineapple, and lemony citrus and minerality flowing from a light aromatic nose of wild flowers, pear, and lemon.
This refreshing chardonnay pairs beautifully with grilled chicken pasta in a lemon butter sauce. If you are a bit tired of heavy oak and butter California chardonnay, you will love this change of pace. Enjoy!
David's Pick

2018 Paetra Rose of Pinot Noir - $24.99

If your not familiar with Paetra wines, it is the brain child of Bill Hooper. Bill took an unusual path to winemaking by working in wine retail and wholesale in the Minneapolis market eventually studying winemaking in Germany and then settling in Oregon to make beautiful dry and elegant Rieslings.

In addition to Riesling he also works with other white varieties and Pinot Noir.
This brings us to his rose of Pinot Noir. This is an intentional made rose. Its full of crisp, clean red fruit and striking minerality. The flavors evolve and change with time and air. It is every bit as refreshing as most rose but also rewards contemplation.

Paetra wines exemplify what can be accomplished with passion and an attention to detail and have a unique local conection we can be proud of.
