Before You Buy Your Next Machine …

Talk to Us

Many fabrication shops purchase a new laser or turret punch and are told that they must also purchase the OEM programming software that comes with the machine. In many cases, that simply isn’t true.

Striker Systems supports virtually all sheet metal fabrication machines through machine-specific post processors (drivers), allowing you to program new equipment using your existing STRIKER CAD/CAM software. This often means you can avoid purchasing additional OEM programming software licenses, saving both money and training time.

Even better, keeping all of your machines on a single CAD/CAM platform simplifies programming, training, and part management across your shop.

Before finalizing your next machine purchase, we recommend contacting us to confirm compatibility. In many cases, supporting a new machine may only require the addition of a post processor.

If you are considering purchasing a new laser, punch, or combination machine, contact Striker Systems first. We can quickly confirm whether your new machine can be supported with your existing software—and potentially save you the cost of additional programming software.

Improve Material Utilization with Automatic Sheet Resizing

STRIKER CAD/CAM includes a variety of powerful nesting tools designed to help fabricators maximize material utilization and adapt to different production workflows. While many customers are familiar with features such as remnant tracking and filler parts, STRIKER CAD/CAM also offers several automatic sheet resizing options that can significantly improve efficiency in certain situations.

In this short demonstration video, we highlight three sheet resizing features that help address a common nesting challenge — when the final sheet in a job contains only a few remaining parts and material utilization drops significantly.

You will see how STRIKER CAD/CAM can:

  • Resize the final sheet to the exact bounds of the nest, making it easy to select an appropriately sized remnant
  • Resize the last sheet to a smaller standard stock size when remnants are not being tracked
  • Automatically adjust the X length of all sheets to support coil-fed manufacturing workflows

These flexible options allow you to reduce waste, improve material efficiency, and tailor nesting operations to match your shop’s workflow.

Upcoming Webinar:

Advanced Nesting Strategies That Can Save 5-15% in Material

In this FREE webinar, we explore advanced nesting techniques that many shops use to reduce scrap, improve sheet yield, and meaningfully impact material costs — in some cases achieving double-digit improvements. We’ll also examine how smarter nesting decisions support better cut sequencing, remnant management, and overall shop throughput. Beyond material utilization alone, we’ll discuss how nesting fits into a broader programming strategy, helping create more consistent, scalable processes across machines.

This webinar is designed for programmers, operations managers, and shop leaders looking to strengthen material efficiency while maintaining speed and production flow.

March TAP Workshop

The upcoming Technology Assurance Workshop session is designed for experienced STRIKER users. This FREE deep-dive session will focus on practical setup strategies, real-world examples, and tips for achieving more consistent nesting results across your machines. We’ll cover key configuration settings, automation tools, and remnant management techniques that can help improve material utilization while maintaining programming efficiency.
