NESTING
Nesting is a never-ending cycle of preparation. We have the nesting instinct to prepare for our new arrival, welcome and protect them from what's ahead; just like animals do with their newborns. You know that feeling? Like you're pumped up on energy about getting organized for your new arrival, whether it be a new someone or something - it feels good but also daunting because there are so many things we need! Thankfully, we are instinctual beings with a natural inclination to survive and thrive. When we tap into those instincts, nesting/preparing for something or someone new is a beautifully wild and innate element held deep within our core.

Nesting: A Never Ending Cycle Of Preparation - follow your instincts

On your mat: As you take a seat on your mat, prepare. Sit quietly for a short meditation as you begin to check into your body and mind before starting your yoga practice. Take deep inhales and exhales as you scan your body in preparation for this session of mindfulness that will help open up awareness around sore muscles or tight joints by increasing blood flow throughout the entire system. 
JULY POSE OF THE MONTH
Trikonasana - Triangle Pose

Triangle pose is great standing posture that stretches and strengthens the thighs, knees and ankles! Trikonasana can be attainable for students on any level, triangle pose is very grounding posture that requires balance from the ground up while providing a great stretch for the hips, hamstrings, shoulders and spine. I love to sequence triangle pose with my warriors series ! This pose can be very energizing and really help you find length throughout the whole body.
 
Tips: Ground your feet for stability- find length by moving through this posture slowly with ease, extend the arm in front of you first, sending the hips back in space, drop your arm to your shin or use block to modify. Let your shoulders line up and turn your gaze up at the opposite finger tips!
 
Try practicing triangle pose at the wall, this will help expand your heart open, actively press your shoulders back into the wall and draw your hips back! This is a great tool to find proper alignment.

In our modern world we're constantly bombarded with sensory overload. Most of us are pressed for time, and overwhelmed by both outside and self-inflicted pressures as we try to overcome challenging situations. Incorporating five-minute meditations into our busy lives can not only help us navigate through the busy-ness, but also help establish a regular meditation practice that can be done anywhere, anytime. In this class/workshop, participants will learn the art of “taking a comfortable seat," as they are guided through a variety of meditations. We'll follow up with a short Q&A for each technique, and have the opportunity for additional group practice time.

Prenatal Yoga Series with Leah Hartofelis

Prenatal Yoga at Breathe N Flow Yoga is a welcoming space to connect with other moms and your baby while practicing yoga. This specialized yoga class is open to all the moms, from the time of planning to conceive, throughout all stages of pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postnatal. Yoga for Recovery with Joann LaGreca

July Yoga for Recovery will focus on the theme of Body Positivity and Self Love. You will be led by Joann through a gentle yoga practice and affirmations emphasizing inclusivity and body awareness and appreciation, followed by journaling and discussion. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, journal, and something to write with.
