Dear Members,

We hope you are all staying healthy in this incredibly bizarre time. As news regarding COVID-19 is changing by the hour, we have received another update from CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) who are responsible for our lease on Granville Island.

In their most recent communication, that we received today, they have made the decision to close the Net Loft completely:

"At this time, with only two interior facing shops remaining open, CMHC has made the tough decision to temporarily close the Net Loft effective 6 PM, Friday, March 27th. Closing the interior of the building is necessary to ensure security and deter theft from closed shops."

Unfortunately, this means our interim plan of shifting focus to our online store, while our gallery remains closed, is not viable. While access to the Net Loft is restricted, it will not be possible for any staff member to collect work from the store to pack & ship orders placed online.

While this is definitely one more hurdle for us to overcome, we want to support you as best as we can in the weeks ahead. For those of you who have your own online business (online store, digital classes, workshops, etc) we want to help you promote these as much as possible. To allow us to best gather this information, we have setup a Smart Sheet here:
As we collect that information, we will add your website/online store to our website and promote your work across our social media channels. For those of you without these online resources, please keep posting to your social media and tagging us (@circlecraft) so that we can share your work and send customer inquiries your way. We will continue to reach out as new opportunities arise.

Stay Healthy,

Circle Craft Team
