We invited you to complete a Quick Poll about the updated ADA guideline for dental radiographic examinations that were released in February 2024 and we gained insights about your practices and understanding of these guidelines. Read our blog for additional results.  

Highlights

• 65% of respondents were aware of the guidelines
• While 44% agreed or strongly agreed with the recommendation to discontinue the use of lead abdominal aprons and thyroid collars during dental X-rays, 25% were neutral and 29% disagreed or strongly disagreed with these recommendations

The PAAS study is making significant strides in evaluating the effectiveness of adjunctive antibiotics for periodontal disease, thanks to the exceptional efforts of study investigators. Dr. Soileau, a Network member from the South Central Node and an experienced periodontist with over three decades of practice, along with her dedicated hygienist and office manager, Huong and Megan, have been enrolling patients at an impressive rate, greatly contributing to the study's success. We are proud to celebrate the commitment to excellence from Dr. Soileau, her team, and the interns, whose hard work is driving the study forward.
