Leadership updates

Dr. Dorota Kopycka-Kedzierawski

Dr. Cyril Meyerowitz

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Dorota Kopycka-Kedzierawski and Dr. Cyril Meyerowitz will switch roles in the leadership of the Network's Northeast regional node. As of September 1, 2024, Dorota assumed the role of director, and Cyril assumed the role of assistant director. Please join us in thanking Cyril for 12 years of outstanding service and welcoming Dorota to her new position.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Jose Maldonado-Ortiz has joined the Network's Midwest regional node as Assistant Director, with Dr. Brad Rindal continuing as the Director. Dr. Maldonado-Ortiz brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Maldonado-Ortiz to his new role and in supporting him as he works alongside Dr. Rindal to further the mission of the National Dental PBRN Midwest node.

We are pleased to announce a change in the Principal Investigator (PI) for our Dental Implant Restoration Registry (DIRR) study. Dr. Nicolaas Geurs, who has been instrumental in leading the DIRR study, has accepted the role of Dean of the UAB School of Dentistry. Taking over as PI is Dr. Joana Cunha-Cruz, who is the Network’s National Director of Communications & Dissemination. We are confident that under Dr. Cunha-Cruz’s leadership, the DIRR study will continue to thrive. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Cunha-Cruz to her new role.
