Congratulations to Forever Home Feline Ranch for being chosen as the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce’s Member of the Month for April!
Forever Home Feline Ranch, located in Rochester, Illinois, is a nonprofit organization created to provide every cat in need a forever home. They strive to provide a sanctuary where cats will have a second chance to live a full life in a no-cage, no-kill environment. Forever Home Feline Ranch leads efforts to make Central Illinois a no-kill community by ending euthanasia as a method of controlling the feline population.
Now in its 17th year of operation, FHFR has found loving homes for hundreds of kittens and cats. They host many adoption events, but can regularly be found between 12-3 p.m., the 1st and 4th Saturday of every month at Ace Hardware on Wabash in Springfield. They can also be found between 12-4 p.m. at PetSmart on Veterans in Springfield on the 2nd and 3rd week of every month.
Not looking to adopt, but would like to support? There are always community fundraisers being held and direct donations are also welcome! Details can be found on their website at felineranch.org.
The Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Forever Home Feline Ranch as our Member of the Month for April.

Mother’s Day is a celebration of the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, wives, children, and mother figures in our lives. Times for warmth and togetherness in these observations can also bring challenges for those touched by grief and loss.
In an effort to support people dealing with a difficult time, Butler Funeral Homes,
Roselawn Memorial Park, and Bisch Funeral Homes invite the community to a Mother's Day Tribute on Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. hosted at Roselawn Memorial Park — 1735 South Camp Butler Road, in Springfield.
This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary. It will include a brief ceremony led by on-staff, certified Celebrant, Judy Woerner, honoring all mothers and the important roles they have played in our lives.
Refreshments and a keepsake will be provided in honor of your loved ones. “As a mother, Mother’s Day is a special holiday for me, as it is for many people, but dealing with loss can make it a difficult and overwhelming time to participate or to feel left out.” says Katie Mendenhall Wilson, Location Manager and Funeral Director for Butler Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center. “We hope this event promotes
healing and supports those who are hurting.”
The public may contact 217-544-4646 for more information about the event.
