Luncheon Featured Information on Area Developments

Chatham Area Chamber members enjoyed a tremendous presentation by Ryan McCrady, President & CEO, Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance, on June 12 at the Chamber's luncheon. We appreciated learning more about the many development and building initiatives in our community. We also appreciated learning more about Brenden Gardens, thanks to a great presentation by our Business Exhibitor, Kathryn Gvillo. Finally, many thanks for the delicious lunch prepared by Panther Creek Country Club, and their warm hospitality!

Networking on the Green ~ What You Need to Know

For guests arriving only for this event, the parking area at the clubhouse will be open beginning at 4:15 p.m. Once those spaces fill, (and they will), on-street parking is permissible in the Panther Creek Subdivision. Guests should be mindful of mailboxes, driveways and fire hydrants and ensure not to block them as cars may be towed if they are blocking them.

Off-site parking is located at Landmark Ford, 2401 Prairie Crossing Drive. Guests will park, ride air-conditioned shuttles, and be dropped off near the first tee. Shuttles run until approximately 7:45/8 p.m. This is a very quick and easy way to remove any parking hassle and get to the tournament. It's one of the shortest shuttle rides on tour!

Once on site, guests will be welcomed on the exterior lower-level patio of the clubhouse. After a few short remarks, guests can mingle and enjoy themselves there or be granted access into the hospitality venue between holes 9 and 18 (see bullet #4 below for additional details).

  • Parking – Free
  • Shuttles – Free
  • Networking on the Green – Free
  • Access to the J & J Venue between holes 9 and 18 will be granted free of charge to guests who provide either their business card or fill out a form with name, company, phone and email address. A member of the tournament staff will be collecting the cards and/or forms and issuing wristbands for access.

Congratulations to the Ball-Chatham School District, for being chosen the Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce’s Member of the Month for June!

This recognition highlights the district’s exceptional leadership, coordination, and compassion in the wake of the recent YNOT Child Care facility crisis. Ball-Chatham staff swiftly and expertly activated their Crisis Response Plan, implementing a well-organized reunification process at Chatham Baptist Church. This allowed emergency responders to focus on the immediate needs at the YNOT site while ensuring the safety and emotional well-being of the children and their families.

In the days that followed, the District continued to lead with care - mobilizing both local and regional resources. Their coordinated efforts included partnerships with the American Red Cross, access to group and individual counseling services, therapy dog support, and meaningful student-led initiatives such as a candlelight vigil and fundraising campaign organized by the Glenwood High School Student Council.

The Chatham Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the Ball-Chatham School District for its unwavering commitment to its students, staff, and community during a time of crisis, and honored to name them as its Member of the Month for June.
