Free Resource - Insulin Supplies
One of our network partners, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Charitable Pharmacy in Johnson City, TN, recently shared a resource for insulin syringes and needles that we are happy to share with the entire network! BD's sample distribution program provides free insulin syringes and needles to facilities. Through BD's sample website, ordering is simple; just find and select the quantity of the desired items, fill out contact and shipping information, and submit! Each site is able to receive up to four boxes of insulin syringes and four boxes of pen needles each month, per provider. Through the use of the provider's NPI or license number, sites can access this free resource. If you have the staff resources, you can enter multiple providers information to get a good stock of syringes and needles to keep on site for those patients who are unable to afford these supplies.
The team at the Dispensary of Hope loves hearing these best practices and sharing them throughout the network. During the December 4th webinar (
Register), we will discuss more resources like this that your facility can implement to help care for the low income and uninsured. To learn more about BD's free products, you can visit their website
