You can apply to be part of SCORE's 60th Anniversary Pitch Competitions and pitch your business to a panel of industry experts to compete for a chance to secure up to $20,000 for your business.

How the pitch competition process works:

·    Submit your pitch application by July 31, 2024.

·    Begin working with your assigned SCORE mentor to develop your pitch, if approved.

·    Record your 2-3 minute pitch and submit it, if approved.

·    If selected, present your pitch live at the Houston event on October 3.

Whether you are located in Houston or a neighboring city, this is an excellent opportunity to work with a free SCORE mentor, present your pitch to business experts and possibly get additional funding.

With our regional in-person competition scheduled for October 3 in Houston and an application deadline of July 31, we invite you to apply now. our copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?

Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

The MBDA seeks to resolve the challenges faced by minority business enterprises (MBEs) in the export industry. Through outreach to minorities in the masses, MBDA will identify those who are not exporting and would like to explore the opportunity to export. We provide technical assistance and business development services for MBEs to have greater access to new and global markets. The criteria to participate in this program is to have a registered business for three years or have a registered business with an export ready product. If you are new to business and would like to learn what it takes to become an exporter, your ambition is also welcome. We are thankful to expand the MBDA strategy by helping minorities grow, flourish, and gain greater access to global markets.
