Chamber Welcomes New Chairman

2017 Chairman of the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Dana Point Harbor Association, Kim Tilly, has been a longstanding leader in the Dana Point community. Kim has served on the Executive Committee for the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, and is the proud owner of Tilly & Associates, Serving Love Catering, and owner and partner at Boneyard Beach Cafe.

Kim has been married to her husband Don for 35 years and they have three beautiful children together, Cheyne, Kacee and Courtney. Kim is an avid cook and baker, always outdoing herself, especially with her famous gluten-free treats!

Kim is both an energetic and effective leader who will continue the strong, successful legacy established by previous Dana Point Chamber of Commerce Chairs.  Be sure to attend one of our chamber events this year to welcome Kim!

The Harbor Grill, run by the Hicks family, John, Wanda, and son Keegan, has been in Dana Point for 30 years! Their delicious cuisine and gorgeous location have made them a constant favorite of Dana Point residents and visitors alike!

Beware of W-2 Scams
The IRS is urging company payroll officials to double check any executive-level or unusual requests for lists of Forms W-2 or Social Security numbers (SSNs).

In this scam, cybercriminals attempt to trick payroll and human resource officials into disclosing employee names, SSNs and income information. The thieves then use the stolen personal information and data to try to obtain money, including filing fraudulent tax returns for refunds.

The criminals send a fake or "spoofing" e-mail pretending to be from the actual CEO or CFO of the company. In the email, the "CEO" requests a list of employees and information about the employees, including their SSNs, from company payroll officers or human resource employees.
