Dear Chester County Council Scouting Family,
As we enter into 2023, we have some exciting news to share with you regarding the Scout Store operations at the Oscar Lasko PARC.
Effective, February 15, 2023, the Neubauer Scout Shop will be operated by the National Supply Division of the Boy Scouts of America.
Below we have outlined information to prepare you for this transition.
Timeline:
- Last day as CCC-operated store: February 3, 2023
- Store closed for transition: February 6-10, 2023
- Soft opening: February 13-14, 2023
- The store reopens Wednesday, February 15, 2023
Returns:
Any product you have purchased must be returned by close of business on February 3. No returns will be accepted past that date.
Unit Accounts:
Unit accounts will be accessible and remain in place for your use.
Personnel:
Store Manager Robert "Hindy" Hinderliter will transition into a new role, serving as the Store Manager for the National Scout Shop. Although Hindy will no longer be an employee of the Chester County Council Staff, he will still be the face that welcomes you into the store. In addition, a few part-time employees will be brought on to staff.

Vicki Grabill, Council Registrar, will move to a workspace directly across the hall. Vicki will continue to work for the Chester County Council processing Eagle Awards, applications, event payments, and other registration duties.
Store Hours:
With the Supply Division of the BSA operating the store, you will see Saturday hours. Tentatively, the hours will be:
- Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Closed daily from 1:00 pm-1:30 pm for lunch; until more staff is hired
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Product Supply:
With this change, you will see a much larger supply of Scouting gear and products for sale at the Scout Shop. This will help to ensure that we always have the products you are looking for.
Sewing Services:
Sewing services will continue to be offered through the Scout Store.
