We are excited to announce that NeuroNexus is once again an independent, private company!
Our new independence translates to increased flexibility and focus in all aspects of our company, from sales and customer service to production and technical support. We are better positioned to work with you to find meaningful, cost-effective solutions for your research or product development programs. For more information, please visit our website to read the announcement from the NeuroNexus CEO and Director, Daryl R. Kipke, PhD.

This is the first installment of our monthly newsletter featuring sales and products and updates with new publications from our customers!
Science Update
3 recent publications utilized NeuroNexus probes to study the auditory system:
Experiments:
  • Acute recordings in mouse1, zebra finch2, and guinea pig3
Targets:
  • Inferior colliculus and auditory cortices
Probes:
Take Aways:
  • These studies shed light on the development of tonotopy in the central auditory system1, bird song processing streams2, and compensatory mechanisms that define symptoms of sensorineural hearing loss3.
The known and repeatable geometries of NeuroNexus Probes provide a standard of comparison against the tonotopic organization in the inferior colliculus. The acute (A16) packages used for the publications are easy to manipulate and orient into the required insertion axis, while electrode site spacing along the probe shanks can be scaled to optimize sampling in brains of different sizes. Multi-shank probes can be used to expand the recording space out from the insertion axis.

Investigators used a 32-channel NeuroNexus array in a guinea pig model to stimulate the auditory and somatosensory pathways to modulate pathological activity. The A4x8-8mm-100-500-703 is available by special order .
New Product Offering
1/10th the Insertion Force!
View the video demonstration of reduced dimpling and insertion force when using the NeuralGlider-Cortical Inserter and the A4x4 H-package NeuroNexus electrode.
On Target. Less Damage.
The NeuralGlider-Cortical Inserter employs precisely controlled, linear ultrasonic displacement to penetrate the pia mater to reduce trauma during insertion.
