Guide: Key Principles for Reopening Schools and Helping Students Recover from COVID-19
The Afterschool Alliance has released a full guide to expanded learning policy and implementation at the local, state, and federal levels, which is particularly important as our country moves to recovery from COVID-19.

Most of Nevada’s students have started the school year learning online, but not all Nevada students have access to the equipment they need to participate and succeed in a virtual classroom.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
3 Signature Social & Emotional Learning Practices 
The Nevada Afterschool Network will be offering professional development trainings on the 3rd Friday of each month at 11:00a.m.

Our next training will be September 18th, and will be the 1st part of a 3-part series on Social Emotional Learning.

Participants will journey through the Three SEL Signature Practices in the most effective everyday methods for ensuring SEL is present in our time with students. Beginning with a welcoming activity, diving into concrete examples, reflecting on practices and sharing resources, participants will walk away with tools to build community.
NETWORKING AVAILABILITY
Please let us know your availability for a 45-minute monthly chat with friends and colleagues in the Afterschool and Out-Of-School-Time field!

These monthly events will be opportunities to share your current program highlights and pose questions to other afterschool & OST professionals!
