Fall Hazard Engagement Alert
We are nearing the end of the National Stand Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. We hope that Nevada Builders Alliance members participated in a focused effort this week to reverse this unacceptable trend.
Every year on May 6-10, employers can participate in the National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. The campaign’s main resource website is: https://stopconstructionfalls.com/home/ and has free English and Spanish resources for contractors of all sizes, and at any point on their fall prevention journey. Any contractor can find at least one ready-to-use resource on the campaign website.
PGM Safety Services is a key risk management partner for many NBA members, with highly trained personnel ready to help engage this hazard. NBA contractors who are also Pro Group members have live access to additional PGM Safety Services resources and field assistance for the Stand-Down. This year PGM Safety Services met with contractors and hundreds of their employees to help them stand down for fall prevention safety. This is our first year participating and it was highly successful. We aim to make a difference year after year going forward. We hope to see you out there.
Whatever level your company participates at, use OSHA’s campaign reporting website to generate a certificate for your efforts. Your contribution helps demonstrate Nevada builders’ commitment to making 2024 the year that fewer workers die from falls. To download your certificate of participation, the link is: https://www.osha.gov/form/stop-falls-stand-down-certificate.
Please share Stand-Down activities and success stories to info@pgmss.com if you do not complete the OSHA form.
Remember that Safety Starts with You. Let PGM Safety Services help you Prevent Falls from Elevation.
